Griff and I actually spent Halloween in SF in Union Square. He had two friends visiting from Boston so we got a room at the Sir Frances Drake (normally $400 a night but got a rate through hotels.com for $110), saw FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL at SF PLAYHOUSE (about parents having sex with each other when the kids go off to school) and then dinner at THE DAILY GRILL. It was a great night.
Forgive me LJ. It has been over four months since I last posted anything. I have been reading you daily but just have not had the time or desire to write anything myself. Life has been busy.

Well, that is it. Hopefully it won't be so long next time.
My Cute and Cuddly Hubby was on Oprah today.
After numerous tense interviews and even having to sleep with the hot Producer chick, I got the gig.
Next spring, I will be directing URINETOWN, THE MUSICAL for Sunnyvale Community Players.

Not much to really talk about from the weekend.
The Opening of CHICAGO went very well and if you live in the area, you need to see this show.
Auditions for BUG went well but I think we may still need to find an Agnes. We will see what happens after callbacks.
I wish I could have been in Palm Springs again. I had such a good time. Here is my favorite pic from that weekend:
I just noticed that I have not posted anything of substance since sometime in March. Now, you might disagree and state that it has been even longer than THAT. But, I am here to give you an update. I didn't even really get to finish talking about Hawaii. Reasons on why I haven't been posting much are behind the cut. However, I have been reading and even commenting on some posts.

The theater company where I work often has just changed its name from Saratoga Drama Group to SOUTH BAY MUSICAL THEATRE. We are looking for a new Logo and I figured that some of my creative friends in LJ land might be interested in sending in a design entry.
LOGO DESIGN CONTEST
For all you artistic types and graphic designers, the SMBT board
has announced a contest to design a new logo for South Bay Musical Theatre.
The winning entry (as selected by the board) will win a pair of season tickets to
our 2009-2010 season.
The logo may be in full and glorious color, but consideration should be given to the fact that it should also look good in black & white, since many of our ads are printed that way. Submit as many entries
as you like, and feel free to ask any graphic designer friends if they'd
like to participate - credit for a company logo looks good on a resume!
Please note that all entries need to be in a scalable (vector-based) format like Adobe
Illustrator and should be received by June 15, 2009. No hand drawings or
pixel-based formats, thanks. Please submit entries (or any questions, if you

I am leaving Griff. And it is all HIS fault. Tonight, he introduced me to the new love of my life. I will be contacting him shortly and letting him know that I am moving in this weekend.

Tomorrow is a House day. We plan on just staying at the house all day and swimming and eating and sleeping and watching tv.
